Awesome Vlog!!!!!!! Very inspirational. It is so true that when doubt creeps in that we have to look at the gifts we do have and the ways God is working in our lives. Stay strong!
Wow, great vlog, Annie! God is so big we’ll never figure Him out. How He answers prayers is so beyond us. Usually, He is working in different ways than we planned He would when we think He isn’t working. It’s just so hard to remember that.
LOVE this! Love every bit of it, Annie. So many of us- me included- are living in that space in between believing and God’s promises coming to fruition. And, of course, that’s where the doubt stops by to visit.
Love your thoughts and your honest approach to something that can be so complicated.
Great reminder to be thankful of what gifts we DO have and that we can’t let our faith be work based- love that.
Thanks!
Annie – amazing, my friend…..
It was providential that I watched this today. I just finished typing a huge email to a group of women on doubt/depression…ways to avoid the trap and you touched and confirmed so many of my thoughts. We are asking the wrong questions, and listening to the wrong answers.
After ten months of our “God watch”/unemployment, we know that He is going above and beyond with so many other details of our life.
Thanks, Annie…..
love ya, girl,
Jen
P.S. Although I was seriously doubting if you were going to arrive safely in that car.
Sometimes we think we only can share our God stories when we’re on the other side of them — to encourage others, but sometimes others just need to know that someone else out there is stuck right in the middle of it — just like they are. Thank you Annie for sharing your heart today, and being honest about your doubts. I hope that we can start asking the right questions — I know I’m trying
Girlfriend!
I said this to you privately, but I want to say publicly that you ROCKED this vlog. I am so glad you are a part of the team to help those of us who are much more lame at this — ME — and to share your insights. I could relate to what you were saying in a big way. I think all of us can think of a time in our life (maybe even currently) when we thought God would come through for us in ways He doesn’t…and when He doesn’t it makes us question our faith. I love how you found the richness in your life, despite it not being what you necessarily set out for or envisioned. Good word, Annie. I heard it and got it.
Annie: This vlog was the PERFECT compliment to this week’s blog post. I love what you said about asking the wrong question. Starting today I’m going to ask, “How IS God answering me?”
I’m just seriously impressed at your ability to coordinate video, driving and speaking…You go girl! What a blessing it is JUST to have Jesus as Savior. If God never met another need of your would He be enough? A question I ponder every day…
Annie! I’m not a “she” but I think “he’s” are allowed on this site. Wonderful vlog (am I saying that right? vlog?) I really appreciate your willingness to let the world in on your gifts and struggles. Sometimes it seems they come together in package deals. One brings out the other. Your fan, Barry.
So Team Cowart just watched your video and really loved it. Well, we really love you and love this vlog and well, love how you’re serving with Help-Portrait and then we love how you love our kids and we love how they love you. Is that enough love for one comment yet?
From another dude,
jeremy
Annie, great vlog! I am loving this new addition to the site more and more each week. Thanks for being so open about not being on the “other side”. I think that is one of the biggest struggles for Christians. We think that we can’t encourage or share our story until we get through it, but God uses us IN all of our mess. So inspirational.
P.S. I loved hearing about your move. I’m moving in January “for God” and the doubts are already setting in. You gave me just the things to ponder.
Lisa B :: Girl, you KNOW my heart still wishes to be on the other side. But all I can do is stand right here, where He has me, and talk about it. Thank YOU for all the hard work you do for SheSeeks.
Lora Lynn :: I want you to show this video to your kids and say, “She’s even crazier in real life. Get ready.” Cause I’m gonna come see y’all really soon.
Lisa :: Thank you for allowing SheSeeks to be a place of honesty. I love it here.
Shannon :: Your writing is, has been, and will always be, an inspiration. It’s easy to respond to what you write- thanks for being so good at what you do.
Brooke :: I’m going to start asking myself that question a lot. And I’ll come up with a really good answer. Someday.
Barry :: I should probably give you some tips on movie making. YEAH RIGHT. Thanks for not being afraid to leave a HE comment on a SHE blog. It means a lot.
Alexis :: Girl. Proud of you for moving. I know it won’t be easy, but you HAVE to give up the “good” to get the “great”. Keep in touch- I’d be more than happy to keep this conversation going via email as you move and seek God in that. annieblogs [at] gmail [dot] com.
Samantha :: You’re welcome. Glad to know that you know what I’m feeling!
Annie, I must say me, you, and probably several other people have a lot of doubts. I, myself, is starting over my spiritual life. I kinda fell off the ‘bandwagon’ and recently have decided to get back on track. I doubt sometimes if I am doing enough. Enough bible studying or enough praying. I have doubts about the relationship I am in now. So I can say I relate to alot of what you are saying. Loved the vlog.
Annie this was incredible and just what I needed to hear today. i am going to write down “how IS god answering me?” to keep close. I’ve been praying for a few things consistanly for years and still have not found answers either but am learning to not whiteknuckle what i think I want and need as much. you are an amazing person!
Annie, Annie. You rock my world. “I’m living this thing.” I loved that part! I’m glad you put a link to this on your regular blog – thank you for sharing with us!
Annie!!!! Wow, I LOVE this vlog and all that you shared. I, too, am the queen of doubt. I’ve always wondered why God won’t just take it away. But instead of removing it, He uses it to draw me closer to Him. Thanks for showing me another layer of Faith. You rock girl. ~ Renee
Annie:
I think your heart “thinketh” well and that you are wise beyond your years, precious sister.
At 43, I’m still asking some questions, and God is still answering them with his own version of abundance and grace. And between the two, my asking and his answers, I find the faith that anchors me to this day and that pushes me forward into tomorrow.
We would love for you to know a little more about us. Check out the She Seeks Team page to learn some very interesting facts about those behind the scenes here.

So true Annie! I just love that girl! Met her twice in real life. Keep living it girlfriend!

Rachel:: That’s the ticket, isn’t it? Look at what we DO have. It’s my goal this holiday season (and hopefully for the rest of my life).
Sarah:: So true! It’s about choosing to remember, right?
Alyssa:: Thanks, friend.

Annie!! This was wonderful, and so inspiring, especially for where I am now. Hearts!
Thanks for being real!
Hillary:: It does always feel complicated. I tell the Lord that a lot.
Jen:: Praying for y’all today. As for the car- I wedged the camera on my dashboard. So 2 hands on the wheel at all times. I promise.
Emma:: Thanks, sister. You know I heart you.
Liz:: My pleasure. It’s pretty easy when you are just talking to a camera, alone, in your car.
Annie, you’re great! I’m so glad to have you as a friend here!
