In Lisa’s {inspirational entry} she talks about her past need to be valued and affirmed by a certain Valentine. She also goes on to say that we can only ultimately be affirmed and fulfilled by our one TRUE VALENTINE — JESUS. Let the words of this song by Barlow Girl speak to your heart. You are not alone in your need to be loved in that certain way…

BTW, Your One True Valentine is enthralled with your beauty. You are worth all the red roses in the world to Him. (See Psalm 45:11)

Thank you for this, as I read it I remembered I used to be the same way. I always needed that someone to validate my self worth. It took a really long time and many mistakes later to learn that God loves me and His love makes up for any lack thereof in any other aspect of my life. I trust in Him completely and know that He will never let me down. He’s the only one who has been there through all the heartache in my life…but I wasn’t able to see that until I allowed Him to remove the blind folds from my eyes. Every now and then those same insecurities try to creep up on me and get me down but each time God reminds me that He holds my hand even when I am too weak or insecure to remember to hold fast to His! A love like that is irreplaceable!

Miriam,
Thanks for sharing your heart. You are not alone when you talk about insecurities creep in. I can be totally confident in where God presently has me and then, boom, a stupid and insecure thought sabotages my thought process. Lately, I have been relying on different Bible verses as TRUTH to stomp away the lies.
So glad you stopped by and left us your thoughts!
love,
sarah
